Your user's guide to the brain

Think About It is your user's guide to the brain.

Speaking with scientists and leaders in the neuro landscape, host Roberta Walker
takes you inside your brain to find out:
-  how we remember,
- how we see, learn and decide, even
- how we dance and sing and laugh.

It's a journey through the wonders of the brain to find out :
how it guides us,
- how it foils us, and
- how it makes us who we are.

When you sip that first cup of coffee in the morning, don't go asking your taste buds what they think. Ask your brain.

Your brain is the organ that is responsible for determining the flavour and whether you like it.

Your brain creates what neuroscientist Gordon Sheppard calls
flavour images from the sight and smell, the crunch and the feel of the foods we eat.

It all comes together as a new field of research called neurogastronomy.

Join Roberta as she and Gordon Sheppard follow the food from the store to the kitchen to the plate, down the hatch and into the brain.

Bon appétit!

Tune in to Think About It on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. in Newfoundland.

*Note:  Eating mindfully will serve to enhance our ability to discern the flavours of our food.
