Mindless Walking

Walk more slowly.
- Do not run on ice.
- Hold onto rails when taking steps.
- Wear shoes with treads. These will help grip the ice.
I watched this and remembered the maternal advice in Mrs. Gaskell'sCranford, to a new wife in a new home: "Whatever you do, my dear, do be sure to go up the stairs, before coming down."
PS If you MUST fall on ice, do it hot, like hockey players.
